CSS has invested in a brand new EN450 from Romi moulding machinery as part of it’s continual investment program. The machine replaces an older 440t machine but has increased distance between the tie bars and greater shot weight of 1.9kg giving us more versatility.
The Romi EN450 machine uses up to 75% less power than the previous machine meaning massive efficiency gains in electricity usage as well as gains in productivity and reliability. The time taken from switching the old machine off and having the new Romi machine sitting in the same space running parts was just 2.5 days while the rest of the manufacturing facility kept running, an impressive time line and minimal disruption to both us and our customers.
